Never Trust A Hippy

Adrian Sherwood

Adrian Sherwood's love affair with Jamaican music began back in the late '60s, when as a child of 11, he would hang around a local West Indian club with a school friend, dancing on the pavement to the ska sounds of Prince Buster emanating from inside the club. It was the start of a lifelong association for the celebrated mixer/producer.Originally asked by Real World Records to remix the Temple Of Sound track 'Paradise Of Nada', Sherwood's brief expanded with the suggestion he do an album of his own for Real World, featuring part from the label's renowned catalogue of world music. The results are as eclectic and other-worldly as you'd imagine.
