Of all the musicians performing in Madagascar today, it is Rossy who most capably captures the spirit of his island in music. He is the only Malagasy to successfully combine the many languages, instruments and musical styles of the many different tribes from around the island and synthesise a music that represents the whole of Madagascar.

His domestic success has always been a result of Rossy's awareness of current street musical trends. He constantly creates, imitates, recycles and innovates in order to come up with a new style that is immediately attractive to the people, mixing original ideas with both Malagasy and outside influences in a way that demands great talent and imagination.
